The Dyno Diesels Heater Core Hose is a required coolant reroute component when installing an EGR delete kit on 2015–2016 Ford Powerstroke 6.7L trucks. Due to changes Ford made to the EGR cooler and coolant routing in these model years, the factory heater core hose configuration cannot be reused once the EGR system is removed.
This hose is engineered to properly reroute coolant flow after EGR deletion, ensuring correct heater core operation and preventing coolant circulation issues.
Why This Hose Is Needed on 2015–2016 Only
On 2015–2016 Powerstroke models, the factory heater core circuit is integrated directly into the EGR cooler assembly. When the EGR cooler is removed:
- The OEM heater core hose no longer has a valid connection point
- Coolant flow to the heater core can be disrupted
- Improvised hose routing can lead to leaks, poor heat, or air pockets
The Dyno Diesels heater core hose restores proper coolant routing by bypassing the removed EGR cooler while maintaining factory-style flow characteristics.
Earlier (2011–2014) and later (2017+) Powerstroke models use different coolant layouts and do not require this specific hose.
